Ted is a nonprofit organization that gives a platform for interesting, inspiring and intellectually advanced people to spread their ideas in the hopes of better the world. Often times people or an organization will face a problem that can be seemingly impossible and yet somewhere else someone could have come up with a solution to that same problem in a completely unique way. The focus began with Technology, Entertainment and Design, but Ted has since expanded to cover nearly every topic imaginable including business, the arts and global issues.
Notable figures who have held the Ted Talk stage include former president Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, Al Gore, noted director and writer J. J. Abrams, even the magician David Blaine gave a presentation about how he held his breath for over eleven minutes.
The TedX program lends the name and model of the program to independent areas including our own Boca Raton. Here in the Mizner Park amphitheater our own local legends will offer their experience, strength and hope in an effort to help better the community.
The not so humble lineup includes everything from internet sensations, motivational speakers, established entrepreneurs, musicians, even a former Navy SEAL
