You and your friends are investigative journalists and for your latest, most ambitious story, you sneak into the infamous Area 51. You’re trying to expose the secret and illegal alien autopsies happening at the base. While exploring, you accidentally open some of the cages containing extraterrestrial lifeforms.
The base commander quickly initiates an emergency sequence and you and your friends trapped inside!
You have one hour, one single hour, to work your way through the rooms and disarm the self-destruct system before a nuclear reaction is triggered and all of mankind is lost.
Steam pours from the ceiling. Aliens lurk around every corner. Your pulse spikes. Danger isn’t just an idea – it’s the only thing on your mind. The clock is ticking. Will you make it out alive?
Welcome to The Delray Escape Room
The Delray Escape Room is a live action game for teams of two to ten people. Think a four-dimensional video game where you and your friends are the players.
Cell phones aren’t allowed in the room so you can’t use them to get any clues. The challenges are difficult to solve, but not impossible. You have a walkie-talkie to talk to the staff if you need an extra hint.
Despite what we said above, the Delray Escape Room isn’t scary. Nothing pops out. You’re not actually locked in the room. If at any point you’re scared, you can leave. However, you can’t reenter if you exit.
Meeting the Owners
Boca News had a chance to speak with Eitan Fishbein, one of the owners of this fun new activity. Eitan along with James Sylk and Ben Williams created this fun adventure. When asked about what prompted Eitan to start the escape room, he told us it’s a way to get people off their cell phones. In this hyper-digital age we live in, it’s rare to go out and not constantly check your glowing screen. The Delray Escape Room is an extension of that thought process.
The staff was even kind enough to give us a test run at the room. Unfortunately, we didn’t make it. I blame my friend Sophie.
The Emerging Boom of Escape Rooms
Escape rooms are the hottest new trend. They originated in Europe and have quickly spread across the world over the last few years. The Delray Escape Room is conveniently located at 900 Linton Blvd, in suite 201A. The locale makes it easy to check out this exciting activity!
The Delray Escape Room’s perfect for date night. You really get to know someone by being trapped in a room together and having to collaborate to escape. It’s also great for large events since you can have up to ten people on your team. Oh and there’s a group discount!
The room is BYOB, so there’s no need to go to the bar or club. Enjoy an hour of festivities locked in this high-intensity activity with a cold one. The room iss a great activity for people who want to do something unique and different on a Saturday night.
The Delray Escape Room’s adding two new rooms in the coming months – Roaring ’20s and Night at the Museum. The new rooms are sure to be interesting and fun, especially if they live up to the standard set by Area 51!
The Delray Escape Room costs $28 per person. Eitan shared an online code: escaperoom10 to receive 10% off.
Boca News gives this business a five-star rating. It is fun, different and affordable. Check out the Delray Escape Room and let us know what you think. Good Luck!
