Last week, we sent out the first newsletter as well as gave an introduction to what Boca News is. This week I am happy to announce some new improvements that we have made.
South Florida is one of the best real estate markets in the country. Our strong local economy mixed with out beautiful ocean side living makes Boca a very desirable place to live. One of the value propositions I am looking to provide is to build out a thorough and easy to use real estate directory so that I can keep everyone informed with new houses on the market, recent properties that have closed as well as give you all some information to browse through on your time down.
The real estate directory is pretty much finished, but I still have some things to finish up, like organize all the listings by county.
For now, you can easily search for real estate listings on the site. Have fun!!
In the future, I will be building out a restaurant directory and maybe a local business directory depending on how much time I have and how much code I will need to write. The goal is to provide the most valuable resource for the great residents of Boca Raton. I am very excited so please feel free to send information to me. You can fill out the contact form on my personal website.
Let’s get into this week’s newsletter! Have a great weekend everyone.
Never settle
Boca’s Historic Train Depot is Up For Sale
Bids for the potential sale or lease of the Historic Train Depot are due April 28, the latest move for the 1.3-acre site on Dixie Highway owned by the Boca Raton Historical Society & Museum.
Maintaining two historic sites including its headquarters in the old Town Hall at 71 N. Federal Highway is draining the nonprofit’s resources for other uses, according to Mary Csar, executive director.
Doesn’t anyone appreciate history any more??
Underwater Treasures in the Palm Beaches
Man this is toooo cool.
This article goes into some of the underwater treasures, wrecks, corals and amazing wildlife found off the shores of the Palm Beaches.
If you look for it, you can even find a Rolls Royce. I admit, I spent way too much time looking at the pretty girl standing next to that beautiful car, but who can blame me? I never would have expected to find a Rolls Royce at the bottom of the ocean.
I gotta check some of these places out.
Everyone likes pretty girls and cars… and the ocean.
McDonald’s Did What?
OMG. What have we become?
Boca Raton is certainly a unique place to live. Now, we can all congratulate ourselves for building the first ever McDonalds with a customer service table.
I blame it on the millennials. They always need someone to listen to them talk about how the feel.
On a serious note, the newly built McDonalds has gotten more technologically advanced. Just in case McDonald’s didn’t already serve food fast enough, now you can order your meal through a touch screen which will speed up the wait time by cutting down on lines.
What a world we live in.
Who wants to wait for food these days anyway?
Boca High Football Star Banned from Playing with Ankle Bracelet On
A star South Florida running back considered a potential Division I Power 5 prospect has been barred from practicing with his high school team following his arrest on a felony charge, even after a judge cleared him to do so while wearing an ankle bracelet.
As reported by the Palm Beach Post, Shelley Singletary has been barred from taking part in spring football practices with the Boca Raton football team, even though his bail was modified to allow him to take part in the activities provided he wore a tracking ankle bracelet.
On a serious note, I hope this young man learns from his mistake and moves forward in his life. I did some dumb things when I was a kid too.
