Red, White, and BOOM! July 4th lands on a Thursday this year and there are a ton of celebrations happening around South Florida.

With 243 annual traditions behind it, the Fourth of July is one of America’s most sacred holidays. This is the day we celebrate our nation’s independence from Great Britain. A national day off full of backyard BBQ’s, bonfires, parades, sunshine, and plenty of fireworks to light up the night sky.

South Florida certainly knows how to celebrate – everything patriotic – this Independence Day. From memorable parades, lively concerts, to patriotic drink specials – here are the top things to do for July 4th in Palm Beach.

12th Annual Fourth of July Celebration – Boca Raton

Looking for a celebration suitable for the whole fam? Don’t worry – Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department partner up with West Boca Community Council to present the 12th Annual 4th of Celebration. This family-fun event will be held at Sunset Cove Amphitheater in Burt Aaronson South County Regional Park – west of Boca Raton.

The kids’ fun zone is guaranteed to wear the little one’s out. This event will also have concessions on site, a welcome booth, and an interactive prize wheel. Who doesn’t love prizes?

Live music by Havoc305 is an added bonus to this celebration. Most importantly, don’t miss out on the amazing fireworks display. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome for this FREE event.

Red, White, & Blue With a Waterfront View – Boynton Beach

If you’re not watching fireworks over the intracoastal waters – for Independence Day – you are missing out. The City of Boynton Beach goes above and beyond to celebrate all things American with this FREE community celebration at Intracoastal Park from 6:30-9:30pm.

This event is loaded with a ton of family-friendly activities. From face painting, fishing games, giant legos, rock painting, chalk walls, and a giant sand pile with beach toys – there is no way the kids will get bored. Don’t worry, there’s a ton of entertainment lined up for the adults as well.

Enjoy funky Sub Groove tunes, exhilarating Palm Beach Hydroflight show, to the main event – Zambelli Fireworks show (synchronized to patriotic music)

Enjoy live music, food trucks, and one of the largest fireworks display in Palm Beach County. Don’t forget to bring your chairs and blankets to enjoy the waterfront view!

4th of July Celebration – Delray Beach

If you are a long time Palm Beach resident, then you know all about the iconic American Flag hanging over Atlantic Avenue during this patriotic holiday. Bring the whole family along for an event that screams “Proud to be an American.”

An entire day full of All-American activities flood Atlantic Avenue in the city of Delray Beach. From a plethora of food vendors, a variety of beer gardens, an obstacle course, graffiti mural, hula hoop games, Kids’ Zone, infamous selfie board, Uncle Sam stilt walkers, and so much more.

Fireworks will begin at 9 p.m. and Atlantic Avenue will be closed from 1:30 to 11 p.m. Check out this fully loaded schedule of events for July 4th in Delray Beach.

4th on Flagler – West Palm Beach

Looking to celebrate patriotism in paradise? Celebrate Independence Day – waterfront – at 4th on Flagler in West Palm Beach. This FREE event is also perfect for families and guests of all ages. This year’s event marks the 30th anniversary of the infamous Independence Day celebration on Flagler.

Local entertainment floods this event with LIVE performances – from your favorite local bands – on three stages. You don’t want to miss the military honor ceremony. Human Foosball, bowling, and a ton of kid-friendly activities are sure to keep you and your favorite little patriots busy from 5-10pm. End the night with an 18-minute fireworks display over the Intracoastal waterway as you celebrate freedom in West Palm Beach.
