March 8, 2021 By Tim Stoddart Leave a Comment

Who feels like cooking after a long day at the beach, homeschooling, or shopping? Pizza is an all-American, easy alternative. Fortunately, pizza shops in Boca Raton have your last-minute dinner covered. Boca is not only well known for its transient nature, but also for some of the best pizza shops hanging on every corner.

The Best Pizza Shops in Boca Raton

With so many options to choose from and cultural preferences to consider, it’s difficult getting the fam to agree on the same pie to share. Every style of pizza varies, but the fundamental must-haves never waver – a buttery crust, extra cheese, a tasty sauce, and fresh toppings.

Whether you are a deep-dish, thin-crust, Chicago-style, vegan, or multi-topping pizza goer, Boca Raton is notorious for offering the most versatile options for delicious pizza.

Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza

Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza started out as a single restaurant concept back in 2002. Founder, Anthony Bruno, grew up on Long Island in a traditional Italian family. Bruno moved to South Florida and could not find a pizza shop to satisfy his craving, so he brought the entire coal-fired pizza movement down south. Not only are the coal oven pizzas cooked to perfection, but as one of the best pizza shops around, the authentic ingredients and fresh toppings will have any pizza connoisseur drooling.

Added bonus: Do not leave this Boca-based pizza shop without trying their chicken wings. Also coal-fired and served with charred onions and focaccia, these wings are like no other wings you’ve ever tried and literally to die for.

Cannoli Kitchen

Don’t let the name fool you, while Cannoli Kitchen has certainly mastered the art of one of the best Italian desserts – their authentic recipes have made them the number one choice in Boca Raton since 1996. Offering a wide array of pizzas and popular Italian cuisines, Cannoli Kitchen prepares each dish on-site using the freshest and finest ingredients. One of the main reasons that this pizza shop in Boca Raton has earned its noteworthy reputation is because, at Cannoli Kitchen you are guaranteed to fall in love with their authentic hand-crafted pies, and if you don’t, you can create your own custom pizza to order.

Nino’s Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria

Since 1983, Nino’s has been preparing some of the best red sauce and Sicilian pies around. This family-owned and family-operated pizza shop in Boca Raton is located in the back corner of a shopping plaza off Palmetto Park Road. This southern Italian-inspired pizzeria has a secret addition to their menu, but you’ll need to ask chef-owner Marco Tornabene for the special request: Nona’s Sicilian. This upside-down pie takes about 45 minutes to prepare but is worth the wait. Using only the finest Mozzarella cheese available and layered generously between coatings of Tornabene’s grandmother’s original pizza sauce – the Sicilian is fluffy yet crisp. It’s no surprise Nino’s is known for being one of the very few true New York-style pizza shops in South Florida.

Louie Bossi’s

Not only is Louie Bossi’s decor and outdoor dining perfect for any occassion, this pizza shop, located next to Mizner Park, delivers all of the most delectable Italian cuisines and pizzas. Everything on the menu at Louie Bossi’s is made with only the freshest ingredients and entirely in-house, from scratch. Chef Louie Bossi grew up in an Italian home and is no stranger to the love and dedication that goes into serving delicious house made pastas, Neapolitan pizzas from a wood burning oven, home cooked Sicilian comfort food and of course, Chef Louie’s famous house cured salami. Every single dish at Louie Bossi’s is house made and honors methods of old world Italian chefs. From the hearth baked bread and artisan jams, to handmade pastas and pizza dough, gelato, and crema di limoncello, Louie Bossi’s is the best place in Boca Raton to truly experience a taste of Italy.

Tucci’s Pizza

Tucci’s is a quaint eatery, located just off a side street near Boca Raton’s Mizner Park. Tucci’s Pizza has been serving out great pizza in Palm Beach for over 10 years and offers delicious pies baked in a special oven that burns both coal and oak wood. The combination of the outdoor seating mixed with the intimate vibes, and one-of-a-kind pizzas is why locals love Tucci’s and visitors stop by just to grab a slice. If you venture to Boca to stop at this pizza shop, don’t be discouraged by the line of people waiting outside for a table, especially on weekends. Tucci’s real secret is in the sauce. An old-country recipe passed down through many generations, Tucci’s secret lies in a light but zesty tomato sauce made with California plum tomatoes. If you are looking for original, Naples-inspired pizza pies – stop by Tucci’s – we promise you won’t regret it.

Pizza is something that everyone can agree on, but not every pie is created equal. Whether you are fresh off the beach and looking for an easy bite to eat, or simply looking for a place to grab a delicious pie to accompany your Netflix night in – Boca Raton is home to some of the most authentic and delicious pizzerias in South Florida.
