Pinellas Park FL –
Thanks to the fast reactions of a Florida Homeowner he helped save a young woman from possibly being killed. Hearing a knock on her front door, Christina Robles answered to find 17-year-old Matthew Cleveland, who asked for the location of a Largo park. When she didn’t know the location of the park, cops say Cleveland forced his way inside the home. He then grabbed Robles by the throat and used his power advantage to slam her head against the wall.
Robles’s screams woke up her sleeping boyfriend, Alexander McMaster. McMaster (great name) rushed to help.
“His natural reaction, seeing his girlfriend in danger and obviously a threat of what was going on, and [he] acted,” Sgt. Michael Lynch of the Pinellas Park Police Department.
McMaster was quick to act, he spotted an axe near the door, grabbed it and used it to keep Cleaveland (the home invader) from getting away.
A neighbor spotted Cleveland a few minutes before hand.
“So I looked at him and be like, ‘what are you doing here?’ ‘Cause I didn’t recognize him, and as soon as he saw me, then he turned around and walked the other direction and I thought that was really odd. I thought he was casing my garage,” explained the neighbor.
Police report that Cleveland offered no explanations for his actions. They also said he did not appear to be under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.
