The personal injury law firm of Silver & Silver, P.A., recently announced that the firm would be sponsoring the Every Boob Counts (EBC) Foundation, a breast cancer awareness organization. To help raise money for the non-profit organization, the EBC Foundation and Silver & Silver, P.A., are sponsoring a 5k Run/Walk in late October.
The EBC Foundation
The EBC Foundation was created to spread the word about the importance of early breast cancer screening and detection. Stacey D. Mullins, Esq., a Family attorney at Schuttler, Greenberg, & Mullins, LLC, created the foundation with her daughter Jennifer Mullins, a student at the University of Florida, after the family lost their matriarch. Stacey’s mother and Jennifer’s grandmother, Sandy Zabinsky, who passed away in 2008 after a seven-year battle with the disease. In response, the women have worked tirelessly to raise funds for breast cancer prevention, treatment, and research.
The EBC Foundation is a 501c(3) not-for-profit corporation that raises funding for breast cancer screening, treatment, and research by hosting community events. Of the proceeds raised and donated to the local chapter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation, 75% stay in the local community while the remaining profits go to the national Susan G. Komen for the Cure Grants Program to fund breast cancer research.
